Private Shooting Courses

Elite is proud to announce our private shooting courses.  We will work with you to achieve the goals you have set.  These courses are available 7 days a week either at our facility or a facility near you.  Return to top of page


Basic Pistol Shooting Course

Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.

More Details: This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive a  handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and course completion certificate.


Defensive Pistol I

Short Description: This basic self defense pistol class is designed for anyone who plans to purchase or legally carry a handgun for personal defense.

More Details: Firearms Safety, Fundamentals of Shooting and Technique, Firearm selection (Discussion of pros and cons of revolvers and semiautomatic pistol) Weapons presentation (drawing from a holster) Ammunition selection, Methods of carrying a firearm concealed, Discussion of the use of deadly force, Stressful shooting drills, breakdown, care and maintenance.

Defensive Pistol II (Advanced)

Short Description: The advanced skill needed in the use of the defensive handgun is the goal for this course, where the students drill on the skills necessary to achieve excellence, along with receiving instruction in order to achieve the greatest skill development possible.


Prerequisite: Defensive Pistol Course I.

More Details: This course will teach various shooting positions with the use of cover as well as strong hand, weak hand shooting. We will cover movement and shooting, speed reloading, malfunction stoppage and clearing. We will work on presentation from the holster and point shooting. This class will present real life situations for the real world.

Defensive Pistol III (Low Light)

Short Description:  To teach participants how to use a flashlight as a force option by itself and with a pistol. To increase the chance of survival in low light and no light engagements. In this course we will build on the tactics and techniques learned in our Advanced Defensive Pistol course but under low light situations.

Prerequisite: Defensive Pistol Course.

Course Outline:  Choosing a tactical flashlight, light discipline, principles of low light tactics, tactical light techniques, movement and shooting in low light situations, use of cover and positions shooting with a tactical flashlight in low light situations, reloading with a tactical light, malfunction clearances while operating the tactical light, transfers and support hand shooting with the tactical light

Defensive Shotgun I

Course Description: This course teaches the basic knowledge and skills required for the safe and proper use of a shotgun. The Basic Shotgun course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at stationary and moving targets. Students will learn the rules for safe shotgun handling and gun storage. Topics covered include; shotgun parts and operation, ammunition components, malfunctions, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting at straight away and angled targets

Defensive Shotgun II (Advanced)

Short Description:

Prerequisite: Defensive Shotgun I Course.

More Details: This course reinforces all skills learned in the Defensive Shotgun I course. The Defensive Shotgun II course will teach you advanced techniques using a shotgun in close quarter combat. Course of fire includes; multiple target engagement, increased target distances, shooting on the move, shooting from multiple positions, malfunctions, ammunition management, slug shooting and proper use of a sling.

Basic Firearm Maintenance

Short Description: This 4 hour basic course will teach you the basics on how to break down your firearm and properly clean it.

More Details: During this course you will be utilizing proper cleaning kits to clean your handgun.  We will have a variety of items for you to use and purchase.  This is a hands on course and is highly recommended for everyone who owns a firearm. Class size is limited and fills up fast.

SURVIVAL

Basic Survival

Short Description: During this course we provide information on how to prepare and survive a wide variety of threats.   

More Details: Threats can come in a wide variety of forms.  Whether Mother Nature unleashes her fury or mankind shows its evil, we will prepare you to survive.  During the basic course you will be provided samples of an assortment of freeze dried foods.  We will have a large variety of survival gear for you to examine and purchase.

Advanced Survival

Short Description: This course starts off with a brief review of the basic course.  Afterwards we get into the thick of it.  We will go to a location where you will be tested in the element.

More Details: This three day two night course will provide you with different techniques that you will have to utilize in order to obtain your certificate.  You will be put to the test in a variety survival encounters which will keep you and your family alive in a critical situation.

Empty Hand Defense 1

Short Description: Elite Tactics and Training Centers martial arts courses are perfect for the novice and experienced fighter alike because our reality-based techniques quickly build and enhance your skills. Elite’s instructors consists of world-class martial artists and defensive tactics professionals who have successfully integrated numerous styles of martial arts into one unique system. This system has proven very successful in stopping fights, is easy to learn, and is fun to practice. You will learn how to defend yourself against single and multiple attackers, armed and unarmed attackers.

More Details: Lectures include the Color of Awareness, how to avoid a potential fight, the proper and justifiable use of force, and the medical implications of striking the human anatomy Mental Code.  Verbal challenges, evasive movement, falling techniques, striking defenses against armed and unarmed threats, introduction to ground fighting, dealing with multiple attackers and other scenario based training

Women Surviving Encounters I

Short Description: This is a 3-4 hour course conducted both in a classroom and gym setting.  This course is designed for ages 14 and up.  This is the first of three in the curriculum.  

More Details:  This course goes into utilizing different techniques that may be available to an individual at any given time.  The main goal of this course is to survive an encounter, whether you are home, at school, shopping, running errands, at work or where ever you may may be.
